Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Wick mobile application ("App") operated by us. By downloading, installing, or using Wick you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Wick. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
Wick uses third-party identity providers (such as Replit) for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at legal@wick-app.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in a way that could harm other users or the integrity of the service.
Wick is free to download and use. All features — including unlimited journal entries and AI reflections — are available to every user at no cost.
Earning embers. Embers are Wick's in-app currency. You earn embers through journaling: 10 embers for your first entry each day, plus a 5-ember streak bonus if you also journaled the previous day. There is no subscription required to earn or spend embers.
Buying ember packs. If you wish to acquire embers more quickly, you may purchase one-time ember packs through the in-app Shop. Ember pack purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing and refund matters are handled by the relevant platform store in accordance with their own terms and policies; we do not process payments directly. Ember pack purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or the platform store's own refund policy.
No subscription. Wick does not offer or charge any recurring subscription fee. There are no automatic renewals. Any reference to "Premium" in older versions of the App or these documents no longer applies.
Ember balance. Your ember balance is tied to your Wick account and is non-transferable between accounts. Embers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any cosmetic item or the ember system at any time; in the event of material changes that affect purchased items we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
You agree to use Wick only for lawful personal journaling and reflection. You must not:
Wick's reflection and weekly-reading features are powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. AI-generated content is provided for personal reflection purposes only and does not constitute professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. You acknowledge that AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
Wick is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact emergency services or a crisis line such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US).
The App and all associated content, branding, graphics, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Your journal entries are yours; we do not claim any rights over the content you write.
Your use of Wick is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand our data practices.
Wick is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Wick, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with that law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Wick after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
